Sam has been widely known as the most expressive watercolorist in Nigeria. Due to his outstanding excellence in art, a scholarship in honor of Sam Ovraiti was set up at the famous Federal Polytechnic of Auchi where he graduated with distinctions and several awards.
His professional association includes amongst others, Guild of Fine Arts, Nigeria, Society of Nigerian Artists, Nigeria, Color Masters, Auchi, Nigeria, Watercolor Society, Nigeria and Art Rite, Nigeria.
With several solo exhibitions and an extensive number of group shows in Nigeria, Europe, and the USA, Sam Ovraiti is one of the most accomplished artists of his generation.
